Florida Demands Representation

Regardless of who you support this is vitally important. Democrats simply cannot allow millions of votes to go uncounted. Particularly in Florida, where voters have been disenfranchised in the past.

"I find it absolutely perplexing that our country has sent 138,000 troops to democratize Iraq while the voting rights of the citizens of Florida are again (remember 2000) being discounted. Maybe someone should send in the Marines!"
-- Mayor Lois Frankel, West Palm Beach, FL
It was a Republican-controlled state legislature and Republican Governor who caused the problem ... and at this moment, it's the Democratic party voters in the state who are paying the price. THEY DID NOTHING WRONG, and their VOTES SHOULD COUNT.

If you agree, please go to Florida Demands Representation and sign their petition.

Florida Demands Representation (FDR) is a grassroots organization formed to protect the voting rights of Florida citizens. We are not affiliated with any political organization. We received no funding from any corporate, political, or special interest group. We are a group of concerned voters who are outraged that our civil liberties are being violated. We, as Florida voters, must send a message to our elected officials that we will no longer sit idle and allow our voting rights to be abused and ignored. Any voter, regardless of party affiliation, should be concerned. This is a civil liberties issue, not a campaign or candidate issue!
AND, if you live in the DC area, plan to attend the May 31st rules committee meeting. It's an open meeting. This former Florida resident plans to be there. Check back for location and time.
