Flannan Isles, também conhecidas por The Seven Hunters, são um pequeno grupo de ilhas pertencentes às Hébridas Exteriores, aproximadamente a 32 quilómetros a Oeste da Isle of Lewis, famosas pelo desaparecimento misterioso de três faroleiros, em Dezembro de 1900. Apesar de uma bateria de teorias (algumas das quais envolvendo assombrações, extraterrestres e monstros marinhos) o mistério nunca foi resolvido e inspirou vários conteúdos da cultura popular, entre os quais a música “The Mystery of Flannan Isle Lighthouse”, gravada pela banda Genesis em 1968. As ilhas não têm residentes permanentes desde a automatização do farol em 1971.

If they dare to look behind them
Screams of disappointment fill the air
