Republican Candidates Don't (photo)-Opt for Bush

The NBC owned station in Washington, DC, is reporting that Republican candidates in tight races or swing states don't want to have their picture taken with the president or vice president. It seems that Bush's 34% approval rating scares them. Even staunch religious right conservative Sen. Rick Santorum has closed his event to avoid being photographed standing next to the president. Is anyone surprised?
