"It's a cool song," says Russell Brand on "Wide Awake"

Singer spoke to radio station and only spoke well of Katy Perry

 

Russell Brand set the latest single by Katy Perry as a "cool song."

In an interview with Sirius XM Radio, comedian talked about the fact that the separation of the couple to have inspired the composition of the track "Wide Awake":

"It is a good person, I feel nothing but love for her," said Brand. "I was very proud of everything she did. She is a young woman who is dealing with the end of a relationship, which is understandable. It's a cool song."

The actor said he avoided talking about the separation publicamento because it does not want his ex-wife be sad:

"She's younger than me, is a young, beautiful, sensitive and I care too much about it, do not wanna be talking a lot," said the artist. "She will read and be sad and I do not want it."

Brand and Katy are officially separated since the beginning of this week. The marriage came to an end after just over a year. In late 2011, the actor claimed "irreconcilable differences" as the cause for the purpose of marriage.
