In 2000 John McCain received 237,888 votes in South Carolina and lost. Tonight, with 90% of the vote counted, he has just over half that number of votes with 139,306, and he won.In Nevada, 114,000 Democrats came out to caucus. In 2004 the number was 9,000. It replicates a trend we are seeing in the previous contests. These vote counts should be very encouraging for Democrats.
