Why the Race Must Go On

The friends and family I have spoken with in Indiana are thrilled at the opportunity to have a real voice in selecting the Democratic nominee. And I would think voters in the other remaining states feel much the same, and that is why this process must be allowed to continue.

WRTV 6NEWS in Indianapolis* reports that Sen. Hillary Clinton now has a 10-point lead over Sen. Barack Obama.

The survey, conducted by Indianapolis-based TeleResearch Corp. and released exclusively to 6News, showed Clinton with a 10-point lead over Obama in Indiana -- 48 percent to 38 percent -- with 14 percent of respondents undecided. The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.3 percent.
And there are other indicators that this contest is far from over.

A look at the Electoral Map clearly indicates that Sen. Clinton would be a much stronger general election candidate than would Sen. Obama. The Obama - McCain Electoral Map shows Obama at 243 and McCain at 269, with 26 states where the two are tied. The Clinton - McCain Electoral Map shows Clinton at 291and McCain at 247. 270 Electoral votes are needed to win.

And finally, before superdelegates make their decision I would suggest they take a look at this.

Obama lead over Clinton Disappears
Indiana Poll Shows Clinton with Big Lead over Obama
Gallup Daily: Clinton 49%, Obama 45%
